First Post :)

So for my first post I thought I would share two things that have really helped me over the past year.  I know that this isn’t new information but I figured I would post it since it has helped.
1. Finding the right therapist.  I know not everyone feels this is the right route for them, but for me it definitely was.  What stinks about it is that sometimes the first person you see isn’t the “right” one.  So if you don’t realize it, you may think that therapy isn’t the key.  When really it was just you and the therapist didn’t connect.  So it can be a little tricky sometimes.  However just keep trying and eventually you should be able to find a person that works well with you and your needs.
2.  Self help books can be great.  I found one this year that really hit home, because it focused on self esteem which is one of my big issues.  It is called “Breaking the Chains of Low Self Esteem” by Marilyn J. Sorenson.  There are two editions of the book, I read the second, this book really helped me see how much my low self esteem was impacting my life and making my anxiety soar.  If you have low self esteem I would definitely recommend that you check this book out.
Anyway that’s it for the moment.  So keep smiling and remember you are awesome :)
